The SOIMA plant is located in the city of Viseu, which is located 240 km northeast of the capital of Portugal, Lisbon.
In regions where industrial boom is evident, SOIMA today occupies a leading position in the world.
The SOIMA plant was founded in 1977 and began its activities with the production of custom-made equipment: sheet rolling machines, presses, overhead cranes, frames and concrete mixers.
In 1980, the factory decided to concentrate on the production of tower cranes in accordance with the FEM 1001 standard and strengthened its position in the Iberian market as a leading supplier.
In the last two decades, the SOIMA plant has conquered other markets, and now tower cranes and equipment are supplied to various continents.
In Europe: Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Belarus, Romania and Croatia.
In America: Canada, USA, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico.
In Africa: Angola, Morocco, Tunisia, Cape Verde and Algeria.
In Asia: Qatar, India, Syria, Iran, as well as the Australian continent.
The products of the SOIMA plant have received public recognition and various awards: EDP GROUP, the medial diploma of the city council of Viseu, the award of the Minister of Industry of Portugal PME GOLDEN AWARD and PME PRESTIGE.
SOIMA has received the PME EXCELENCE award for several years in a row.
