An Altec installation was recently tested in the UK with both hoist and crane functions.
The new crane equipped with a telescopic boom 38 meters long, equipped with an additional folding section on which the working platform permanently attached.
The carrying capacity of the new product is 36 tons. The unit tested mounted on an Iveco Trakker 8×4 truck chassis, but installation on other vehicle platforms is also possible.

The gearbox, by taking power from the main engine, drives the lifting mechanism.
If necessary, in the interests of the customer, an additional motor can be installed to drive the lifting equipment.
The Altec manufacturer believes that its truck crane will be 20-25% cheaper than similar classmates from competing companies.
When equipped with an additional engine, the price of the crane will decrease by up to 20%.
