History of Atlas Terex Cranes

Atlas Maschinen GmbH (Germany) was formed by spinning off Atlas Weyhausen GmbH.

In 2010, it purchased a line of tracked and wheeled excavators, specialized railway excavators, stationary slewing cranes, and material handlers produced under the Terex Atlas brand from Terex Corporation.

Specialization: production and sale of earthmoving and lifting equipment for construction.

German manufacturing plants Atlas Maschinen GmbH and Atlas Cranes UK produce and sell:

  • excavators on pneumatic wheels/caterpillar/rail tracks,
  • cranes of all sizes,
  • single-bucket loaders with a medium/heavy class diesel engine and a rotating turret,
  • hydraulic milling heads for excavators,
  • scrap and timber reloaders,
  • spare parts (ATLAS Spare Parts GmbH).

Small cranes are specially designed for small trucks. Maximum flexibility in work.

Applications:

  • Green farming, Municipality, Construction materials trade, Logistics, Well inspection, Inspection applications.

Medium taps.
Medium taps – from 65 to 240 kNm. Mobile. Compact. Sensitive.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and as reliable as a simple lifting pulley, this is what distinguishes Atlas cranes for trucks from 7.5 to 22 tons.

The highest sensitivity provides the highest accuracy.

With technology LMplus an additional 18% load torque is possible. Atlas offers cranes with optimized technology and a variety of equipment.

Heavy cranes.
Large cranes – from 250 to 620 kNm. Accuracy. Departure.

Up to 24 tons. Special features include a load sensing system (optional), double slew gear, continuous slew gear and a wide range of fittings.

These cranes operate faster than similar mobile cranes with the same lifting capacity.
