Features of Spierings Mobile Truck Cranes

There’re some SPIERINGS Crane Manuals PDF above the page.

Spierings combine the advantages of a classic tower crane and a mobile crane.

Mobile tower cranes, even those with a large lifting capacity, are convenient for transportation.

The deployment time to perform the lift is literally 15 minutes.

With a mast and cabin height of about 30 meters and the ability to install the boom at an angle of up to 45 degrees above the horizontal, they are ideal, for example, for installing air conditioners on the roofs of multi-story (up to 11 floors) buildings.

Cranes of this type are mounted in close proximity to buildings, giving the crane operator an excellent overview at all stages of lifting. The climb itself takes from an hour to two.

But a 250-tonne mobile crane with a long boom and jib would require a full shift and the help of a well-organized team to do the same job.

And as a result – cost, time, blocking of road traffic during preparation and ascent.

Spierings mobile tower cranes can have a lifting capacity of 5. 5 tons with a maximum radius of 60 m and a lifting height of about 30 m. So, when working within the city, mobile tower cranes are very convenient if the masses of the loads being lifted are not significant.

However, mobile tower cranes are not as versatile as mobile truck cranes.

They are difficult to maintain and operate, so many construction companies are in no hurry to add them to their fleet and, as a result, cranes of this class are not as popular as they should be.

This type of crane has become popular in the Netherlands, thanks to the local manufacturer, the market leader – Spierings.

The new “City Boy” crane from Spierings may help expand the definition of a “CITY-class” crane.
