Chinese crane and construction equipment manufacturer LiuGong, in preparation for expansion, opened a new crane manufacturing facility and moved production lines to a new location in Anhui Province.
The plant, whose area exceeds 53, 600 square meters, will engage in the production of hydraulic cylinders, the production of special rolled metal products, as well as the assembly and painting of crawler and wheeled cranes.
At the end of 2009, LiuGong was able to sell 1, 300 cranes, an annual sales increase of 75%.
Trade turnover and salaries increased by 72%. Sales are projected to be 2, 000 cranes this year (total revenue of $146 million).
The long-term forecast until 2015 indicates an increase in the production of cranes to ten thousand per year and an increase in turnover to 1. 66 billion dollars.
It is worth recalling that recently this company has produced 25, 50 and 70 ton truck cranes, as well as a 160 ton crawler crane.
Production expansion plans provide for the production of eight and 130-ton truck cranes. Wheeled truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 100-500 tons and crawler cranes with a lifting capacity of 50-400 tons.
