When choosing HITACHI equipment, construction companies are convinced every time that they have made the right choice.
The first model of the Hitachi Sumitomo SCX A-3 crawler jib crane in the Netherlands was acquired by Gebr. De Koning, intending to use this machine when working with reinforced concrete structures, in hydraulic engineering and foundation construction.
The new SCX1000A-3 crane, introduced at Bauma in April 2013, was delivered to the company by Dutch dealer Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe in early 2014.
Gebr. has its first Hitachi crane, KH100. De Koning acquired it in 1978, and since then has maintained an excellent working relationship with the manufacturer’s domestic representatives.
By the time the Gebr. crawler crane fleet is replenished. De Koning included Hitachi KH100, KH150, KH180, KH230 and KH300 cranes, as well as Hitachi Sumitomo SCX550.
Various six-section counterweight configurations allow the SCX1000A-3 to be used as a 70, 80 or 90 tonne machine.
The dimensions of the crane ensure that it is easy to transport and efficient in assembly and disassembly when moving from one site to another.
In addition, Gebr. De Koning specified options such as a third winch and a wide platform on the thirty-meter boom to improve safety and simplify installation.
The machine is equipped with a Stage IIIB-compatible Isuzu 6HK1 engine with a power of 210 kilowatts, developing 1900 rpm.
The particulate filter automatically captures dirt particles from the air and burns them.
